Costs and financing
The numbers, before you commit
Most flight schools make you call for pricing. We would rather you see the rate sheet, understand what drives the total, and decide with a clear head.
Rate sheet
What things cost by the hour
Aircraft rates are wet, meaning fuel is included. Instruction is billed separately and only for the time actually spent with you.
| Item | Rate | |
|---|---|---|
| Cessna 152, wet | Two-seat trainer | $PLACEHOLDER / hr |
| Cessna 172, wet | Four-seat trainer | $PLACEHOLDER / hr |
| Piper Archer, wet | Low-wing trainer | $PLACEHOLDER / hr |
| Flight instruction | Ground and flight | $PLACEHOLDER / hr |
| Simulator | Loggable instrument time | $PLACEHOLDER / hr |
| Discovery flight | Roughly one hour, you fly | $PLACEHOLDER |

Estimator
Build your own estimate
Choose what you are training for and how often you can realistically fly. The estimator adjusts hours, total cost, and how long it will take, because pace changes all three.
Estimated total
$16,133
Typical range $11,723 to $21,645, based on about 65 flight hours.
- If you pay as you go
- about $3,227 a month while training
- If you finance over 12 months
- about $1,344 a month
- Likely time to finish
- about 5 months
This is an estimate for planning, not a quote, and the rates behind it are placeholders pending Aspire's published pricing. Financing figures exclude interest.
Estimates
What a full certificate tends to run
These are estimates, not quotes. You are billed for the hours you fly, so finishing efficiently costs less and taking longer costs more.

The honest part
What actually moves your total
Nobody can promise you the FAA minimum. What we can do is tell you exactly which choices make the number go up or down.
How often you fly
The single biggest factor. Two lessons a week and skills carry over. One lesson a month and you spend the first half of every flight relearning what you already paid for.
How you prepare
Students who arrive having read the lesson brief consistently finish in fewer hours. Ground study is the cheapest flight time you will ever buy.
Weather and season
Coastal weather is generous but not perfect. Summer afternoons bring storms, and winter brings shorter days. We plan around both.
Which aircraft you choose
A two-seat trainer costs less per hour than a four-seat one. For early lessons the difference adds up quickly across a full certificate.
Financing
Paying for it without paying all at once
Most students pay as they go, lesson by lesson. Career students often use a training loan to cover the full path through CFI so training is not interrupted by cash flow. PLACEHOLDER: list Aspire's specific lending partners, typical terms, and scholarship options here.
No commitment required
See how it feels from the left seat
A discovery flight is about an hour, and you fly the airplane for most of it. It is the only honest way to find out whether this is for you.
